Chiang Mai Amusement Park, North Thailand.

Wed 24 Nov 2010
There is no doubt about, the Thai people love a party. The experience of the recent weekend and the Loi Kathrong festival showcased a city under siege from party goers, mounted on rental scooters and armed with paper balloons and fireworks. This set the scene for a mass party that extended party skirmishes across town.

In the company of locally skilled Aussie Adrian and expert Couchsurfer, we partook in most of what the town has to offer including bars, parades, lantern balloon release and Leo beers, breakfasts, lunch, dinners and scooter riding the streets, various night markets, social commitments amongst a world of travellers.

On our front lines, the Saturday planned party with Couch surfing that ended in a roof top party at midnight and Monday night party at the Freedom Bar -our home base. Adj is the video that I produced with Adrian to demonstrate how simple life can be from the Freedom Bar and Giant House -  lazy day can easily accommodate most needs with in 100 m radius... with the option of mounting the $3 a day scooter for adventure further afield.

Set aside the air pollution and Chiang Mai is a place to frequent as a discount amusement park with plenty of seats available on every ride.
