Croatia sailing - please form a queue

Sat 30 Aug 2014
Incredibly, the Croatian charter industry works saturday to saturday. This means that madness erupts weekly in summer as 1000 charter boats rush from the coastal marinas in search of their own space. Behind them, marinas recently emptied have struggled to park cars, serve food, charged extras and dealt with the pack as best they can.

In Australia, the bareboat charter industry allows people to go out as they please, booking dates to suit the customer with an additional up side, less pressure on resources.

In the perfect example, this fuel stop at Milne on Brac(ch) is a smart place to refuel on the second to last charter day. Even still, the queue for fuel is first come first served ... And 10 deep through out the day.

The tactic - drop anchor and go ashore for lunch and a beer ... And wait for late in the day.
