Utrecht, Netherlands city tour

Thu 09 Aug 2012
Looked around Utrecht today and enjoyed lunch at La Place in a department store there. Perhaps the prices of Netherlands are slightly higher than Germany,  but its hard to determine.

The overcast day was typical said the couple hosting me here. Visitors to the Whitsundays in Feb 2011, guy Sergio won an MBA scholarship for Nyenrode Business University. $30000 in value he could hardly pass it up .. but the end is near so they will be soon looking for sandy beaches and the world's best dive sites again, to errr... apply his new business knowledge!

Meanwhile the centre of Utrecht is an interesting place, likely damaged in the war, the shopping heart is nice enough, but falls short of the atmosphere in Strasbourg, or Brugges despite the canals variously about the place.

The Dutch love affair with the bicycle is evident in the bike station photo in the banner.
