6:00pm, Sat 19 Apr 2008 :  6 up for adventure
Having had such a good time on the water, last time, or was that the time before that, I don't know - can't remember the last time I did not have fun on the water, it was time to do it again.

6 up this time, we made our way to the islands. Lea, another Canadian import had a rough time of the crossing the passage, bound for Nara Inlet. How dare someone get seasick on dot.com... it was not a great day, but I have seen far worse.

Anyway to make her feel better, we needed to put her on the beach so she could steady her head and stomach..... so what better way but to drive Dot.Com onto the beach and let her dry out for the day. The beach just on the right inside the Nara Inlet entrance looked good for it, and proved just about perfect.

We spent the day there before heading down to  Cid Harbour. The weather was not that good, so the adventure needed to be increased.... Whitsunday Peak became the goal.  It was a great way to exercise and despite the cloud a worthwhile site... from the different look outs you can see most of the way around the island group, to see 31 islands from the 74. Unfortunately, Jo had twisted his ankle the prior day and had to sit on the bench for that one.

Next up, Hamilton island for some pizzas and cocktails. The night club was a buzz too... that evening we shared it with that "Where the bloody hell are you" lass, which meant the dress code was enforced and staff names were being taken....

For the final day out we bashed our way to Whitehaven beach, which a few big waves wetting the occasional bunk and crew. It was a restful place to be after the night before...

More of the same adventure on Dot.Com.... :-)

Quote from Ghandi
I do not want my house to be walled in on all sides and my windows to be stuffed. I want the culture of all lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible.

Pretty much my life... and I love it.

Next G Coverage
Telstra Next G coverage continues to impress. Using my Tu500 handset, I have been able to get on the net at high speed at various places. The latency of the network also seems very low when I get on. Very nice.

John speaks about Telstra Next G

Says it all : "Sailing" by Christopher Cross
It's not far down to paradise
At least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away
And find tranquility
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

It's not far to never never land
No reason to pretend
And if the wind is right you can find the joy
Of innocence again
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

Sailing
Takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

Fantasy
It gets the best of me
When I'm sailing
All caught up in the reverie
Every word is a symphony
Won't you believe me

It's not far back to sanity
At least it's not for me
And when the wind is right you can sail away
And find serenity
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me
