So what do you do when you can't all your friends together for a 40th birthday party?? Take it to them of course.
With the friends spread across the East coast of OZ, and elsewhere in the world, it can be a bit hard to have a get together so I took the unusual step of having a fortieth birthday "tour". With dates in Melboune, Brisbane, Airlie Beach and Sydney it was great to get 20+ at each place... except Sydney which end up cancelled due to lack of interest - seems I could not get my good friends to drive across town.... Thank goodness I was not trying to get them to come to my modern home of Airlie Beach!
Anyways, thank you one and all that came along, and those who expressed sorry for not making it. It was a grand adventure, in travel and in food as I made my way along the seaboard. Steaks in Melbourne, Dos Amigos Mexican in Brisbane and Deja Vu (no affil) in Airlie Beach. The company was great as was the food.
